About Kamie
With over 13 years in the field, Kamie is a dietitian, nutritionist, and wellness counselor. She understands that a one-size-fits-all nutrition message does not work, and personalizes each strategy for the best results for her clients. She believes in using a holistic approach, integrative/functional nutrition, the latest scientific research, plus her education and experience to meet each client’s unique needs.
Kamie’s passions include wellness and prevention, preconception and prenatal nutrition, mother and child nutrition, as well as food allergies and sensitivities.
Personal Experience
Food is Medicine! Diagnosed with an egg allergy as a child, Kamie was introduced at an early age to the power of food being able to promote health or illness. She has years of personal experience working with food allergies/sensitivities and developing workable substitutes for herself, her family and her clients. As a mother of four, she has both personal experience and professional training in these important areas: preconception and prenatal nutrition, nourishment with lactation and breastfeeding concerns, not to mention cooking for the whole family as a busy mom!
Education/Experience
She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Nutrition and has worked in a variety of settings (hospitals and ICU, outpatient clinic counseling, diabetes, long term care, bariatrics and weight loss), and brings all those experiences to aid each individual client.
Additional Training
Kamie is a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT)- a certification for food sensitivities. Additionally, Kamie is a member of the practice group Dietitians in Functional Medicine (DIFM). This group of dietitians is one of the largest practice groups in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and focuses on functional and integrative nutrition.
