Copycat Simple Mills Artisan Rolls

This versatile recipe can be made into a loaf, dinner rolls, flatbread or buns!

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups fine almond flour
  • 1 cup tapioca starch also called tapioca flour
  • 1/4 cup ground flax
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar Optional, or use other sweetener

Liquid Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup egg whites could also try 3 eggs or egg substitutes
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Mix and spoon into oversized 6 muffin cups to make hamburger buns. Sprinkle tops with garlic salt if desired.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 20-23 minutes. Cool on a rack.

  2. Tip: Combine dry ingredients and store in a jar for an easy DIY "mix" to use in the future.

    Notes: Baking as a loaf, flatbread or smaller muffin/roll will change the baking time needed.
